Great skiers are built in the summer.
You cannot expect your body to handle extreme G-forces, dynamic edge angles, and high-speed vibrations on the mountain if you haven't prepared it in the gym. Our Alpine Dryland Programs are strictly sport-specific. We focus on eccentric leg strength, explosive plyometrics, core rotational stability and joint mobility, so that you arrive on the glacier prepared for what the first days demand instead of finding your limits on the snow.

The Philosophy: Train Smarter, Not Just Stronger

The most common trap for alpine athletes is chasing pure gym strength. Brute force and heavy muscle mass, without an equal investment in dynamic balance, neuromuscular coordination, and mobility, will actually degrade your on-snow performance. Stiff, over-muscled skiers fight the mountain, resulting in sluggish edge transitions and more load travelling through the joints than they need to carry. We focus on intelligent, functional agility so your nervous system can effortlessly absorb and redirect high G-forces, rather than just mechanically resisting them.

Neuromuscular Focus

Brain-to-Muscle Connection. Complex juggling and balance drills to force rapid nervous system adaptations and micro-corrections.

Lower Injury Risk

Preparing the joints for the load. Work on the stabilising muscles around the knee and the core, so high forces are shared instead of landing in one place. That is the part of injury risk training can genuinely influence.

Asymmetry Correction

Closing the gap between your sides. Left and right are trained separately, so the weaker side gets the work instead of the difference being averaged away.

Traditional weightlifting is not enough for elite alpine skiing. Our high-performance dryland protocols bridge the gap between absolute strength and dynamic on-snow balance. Through targeted neuromuscular coordination, unstable surface training (Bosu, Slackline), and explosive plyometrics, we build the joint stability and control that keep unnecessary load off the knee under fatigue, and sharpen your kinematic efficiency before you even step on the snow.

We integrate dynamic instability drills (utilizing slackline mechanics, Bosu, and cross-coordination agility) to train your central nervous system for lightning-fast micro-adjustments and perfect spatial awareness on icy and unpredictable terrains.
  • Explosive Power (Plyometrics)Box jumps, lateral bounds, and drop jumps to simulate dynamic edge-to-edge transitions.
  • Eccentric StrengthSlow-load training to help your quads and glutes absorb heavy forces at the apex of the turn.

I already go to the gym. Why do I need this?

Lifting heavy weights builds absolute strength, but skiing requires reactive, unilateral power on a slippery, uneven surface. Our training specifically bridges the gap between the gym floor and the mountain.

Do I need expensive equipment at home?

Not necessarily. While a Bosu ball and basic agility tools are helpful, we can design your 8-week protocol using minimal equipment, focusing on body weight and dynamic movement.

When should I start dryland training?

Twelve weeks before your first day on snow is ideal, which in practice means September or October. Even four weeks makes a noticeable difference to balance and joint stability, with the focus shifting from building to activation.

How much time do I need each week?

Three to five sessions of 45 to 70 minutes, depending on the block. Sessions are built to fit around a normal working week.

Does this work for freeriders and ski tourers?

Yes. The structure stays the same and the emphasis shifts. For freeride and touring we increase endurance, eccentric landing strength, and core stability under pack load.

I have had an ACL reconstruction. Can I join?

In most cases yes, once your rehabilitation has been medically cleared. Send us your report and your current physiotherapy status first. This program does not replace medical treatment, it starts where rehab finishes.

How does the online coaching actually work?

Your weekly plan is delivered digitally alongside a video library covering every exercise. On the longer blocks you send footage of your execution and receive feedback on technique and load.

Can I combine dryland with my regular strength training?

Yes, as long as the total load makes sense. Tell us what you are currently doing and we build the protocol around it, so plyometrics and heavy leg days do not cancel each other out.

  • Once it has been startedFrom then on there is no refund, because the programme is already prepared and it stays yours either way.
  • If what you send cannot be usedShould your footage or your details not be usable, you hear about it before anything starts and you are refunded in full.
Not Included

Gym membership, training equipment, medical treatment or physiotherapy, and travel and accommodation for in-person sessions are the responsibility of the participant.
